Frustrated Roommate

Dear Ladies,

A friend and I decided to move in together being that we were both looking for an apartment. I know some people say how you never really know someone until you live with them & how friends show not move in together, because it could cause a strain on their friendship, but we didn't think that that would happen to us. Well, I've been living with my roommate for 4 months now & I really found out how lazy and nasty he is. He leaves dishes in his room, which causes the place to smell, he hardly cleans up, unless he has a girl coming over, he wastes water, by leaving it running all the time. We have a 12-month lease, so I have 8 more months on the lease & I've tried talking to him about his ways already, but that doesn't work. What should I do?

I've been thinking about becoming a stripper.

Dear Ladies of The Talk Takeover,

I'm 23 years old & I graduated from school last year with a B.S. in Biology, but have not been able to find a job over the past year. I've been living with my parents and it has been pure hell. I want to get out of this house, but not having a job has made it a little hard to do that. I've been thinking about becoming a stripper. Guys & girls tell me all the time that I have a great body & some guys say that they could eat Christmas dinner off of my ass. I believe that I could make good money if I decided to strip. I've tried looking for other jobs, but all that I can find are things like selling insurance & fast food. I need a job where I can make good money soon & get out of this house. What do you suggest I do, ladies?

New friends reveal old secrets!

Dear Talk Takeover

I am wondering if you can help me out. I just moved to this area and my son (10 years old) is making new friends. He has taken a liking to a little boy in his class. I have met the mother and she seems nice, very quiet, but nice. We had a small after school cookout for a few kids last Friday, because it was 75 degrees and I want to do something fun for them. My son’s friend came over and we were all having a good time and he fell into some mud, so I  gave him one of my son's shirts to put on. He went to change his shirt and I saw a number of bruises on his back and arms. I screamed without thinking and scared the little boy to death. I asked the mother about it, when she came to get him, and she said that he is always falling down or doing something to himself. On Monday, my son came home and said he can no longer hang out with his friend,  because his mother said that I don’t mind my business. Help me get my son’s friend back.

Thanks

Co-sign for a bond to get out a jail for a some time friend

Dear Talk Takeover Ladies,

I've known this girl for about 18 years. At one point we would say that we are best friends, but now I just say that we know each other. She will still say that we are like sisters. Now behind my back I heard that she said some other stuff. Last night she was arrested on a small drug charge of 1.5 oz of weed. She called me from jail to get her out. I felt bad however, I had been up all night dealing with her issues and with mine that by the time she call me, I was drained. I did call a bail bondsman and they told me that her bond was s1000 dollars. I had to put up $150.00 dollars to get her out. (which I did not have) and I would have to co-sign the bond, which I learned means if she did not go to court, I would have to cover the whole bond. Please tell me what you would have done in my position.

Thanks

Talking care of my divorcing parents as an adult, while living in the middle of their war zone?

Dear Talk Takeover,

As adults, you would think that your parents getting a divorce wouldn't be as bad. I think it may be worse. Both of my parents are sickly and need lots of help on a daily basis. I have spent the last 20 years taking care of them and not having a life of my own. Within the last year, I have lost over a hundred pounds and just started to date and get out there at the age of 44. Now they have decided to split up and torment each other in the house. My mother served my dad with papers before she and I  were able to move out, so I am living in a war zone. I feel my life going back in my shell,  like before. Just when I get to peek my head out and see life I have to go back inside. what should I do?

Thanks,
Baby Turtle

Should I let my daughter stay with her dad permanently?

Dear Talk Takeover,

My husband and I have been divorced since 2013 and we have an 11-year-old daughter. I made it my point to make sure that our split was as amicable as possible. We have a great arrangement, she stays with me for a week and then she stays with him for a week, and I thought that we were doing well. He is getting remarried, and they live the fancy life. My ex told his new girl that our daughter could come and stay with him permanently if she wants and she ask if she could. My heart is breaking right now. Please help me know understand what I should do.
Thanks

Found a box in the back of the closet belonging to my husband. Should I ask him about it?

Hi Ladies,

It snowed all week last week and I was home from work, so it gave me some time to really do some cleaning. I cleaned out my husband's closet and found a book in the back that I had never seen before. Of course I opened it and inside were some old playboys, condoms, love letters (they seemed really old) and an inactive cell phone with only one number in it, so I called it and nobody answered the phone, it was only the voicemail annoucment. Should I say something to him? I have been sitting on this for a week and I feel like I like I am going to explode.

Greetings, ladies

I am 16 years old and I live with my parents and my older sister. I am so sad, because my parents fired our maid, because they thought that she was stealing. I have been seeing my sister steal money and other things around the house to go out and party. I told her that I was going to tell, but she has so many things to hold over my head, like how I skipped school a lot to hang with my boyfriend. What I am doing is not hurting anyone, but I don't want to be punished and not be allowed to see my boyfriend. what do I do?

Thanks

afraid to tell me what happened?

Dear Ladies,

I'm a single mom of a 4-yr-old daughter, whom is in daycare while I work 40+ hrs/wk. One day, when I picked her up from daycare, I noticed that she had a scar on her arm, so I asked her how it happened & she said that it happened while she was playing. She was happy & seemed painless, so I was good. That was a couple of months ago. Yesterday I picked my baby up from daycare & she had a black eye. The babysitter said she fell out of the car. I asked my daughter what happened & she didn't want to say anything. My daughter never keeps anything from me & she doesn't lie, so why is she afraid to tell me what happened? She tells me everything else with ease. I have a good idea of what I should do & all I need is bail money to get me out, but what do you ladies suggest that I should do?

Signed,

I have been trying to break up with for months now!

Dear Ladies,
Valentine's Day is slowly approaching and I have a girl that I have been trying to break up with for months now. Every time that I tell myself I'm going to do it, she ends up making me feel sorry for her, by saying how much she appreciates me being there for her, because she's had a few bad relationships in the past. It's like she knows that I'm attempting to break up with her. I've never actually gotten to the point where I've actually said the words, because of her pity party & I end up staying around. Now, before you start, I've never cheated on her. I've been a faithful man, I just don't like her ways. She always complains about being overweight, but when I try to get her to go to the gym with me, she always says that she's too tired. When I try to get her to do exciting things like rock-climbing or kayaking, she's never interested. Everyday she just complains about her life, but never really tries to do anything to change. I mentioned Valentine's Day in the beginning of my letter, because I want to break up with her before then. I don't want it to be on the actual day, so that she will always associate that day with me breaking up with her. What should I do?

I have a friend that is always trying to get the "hook-up"

Dear Ladies,

I have a friend that is always trying to get the "hook-up" every time we go somewhere. If we go to a restaurant, she constantly tries to say something is wrong with the food to attempt to get a discount on it. She will put a small hole in clothes while shopping to get a discount. She tries to change the price on items in the grocery store. The problem is, she has money & a lot of it, but she's so cheap. It gets on my nerves. What should I do?
